Without a doubt some sort of music is necessary when hoping into the car. You may not always readjust your mirrors, but if you're anything like me, you're waiting for your bluetooth to connect and SirusXM to simply go away. I never extended the free trial or signed up for it to begin with and yet the channels greet me each and every time I start the car, until I switch over to "Bluetooth".
At night, I always wonder where people are going, what's on their mind, and most importantly what music is speaking to and for them as they are cruising.

There is something about the sun setting and the roads becoming a bit more empty that provides a greater sense of vulnerability. The world seems a bit calmer. A bit quieter, even with thoughts running rapid and lyrics playing at the mind.
Why Ryan Trey
Like many artist I've mentioned, I discovered them in college (think 2018) and have yet to fall out of love with them. Ryan Trey is always on a loop for those 3-4 hour road trips from Savannah, GA to Greenville, SC (my hometown) or anywhere for that matter. He also makes his way into my late night drives. Any single, any album--from 0:00 to the conclusion of the song I know
My Top Ryan Trey Songs
I said I'd never rank this man's music and technically I am not putting these any order, but here are a few gems that always get me hype.

Muttal Butterflies (2018)
LV Smoke (2019)
WHY A 64 EAST SAGA IS THE PERFECT ALBUM FOR THOSE LATE NIGHT DRIVES
I believe Trey mentioned this is exactly what this album was meant for. Those late night drives. I fully stand behind the album being a compilation of feels and reflection. This was the perfect album for me in 2021 based on where I was in my life.
Fun Fact: This album is listed under Ryan Trey's Apple Music profile as "Compilations".
